The Trainer
Major Anura Pandithage (Rtd.)
Major Anura Pandithage is a Retired Commissioned Officer in the Sri Lanka Army experienced in both operational and peace areas, with 16 years of experience in the army and almost 20 years in the private sector. He has been well exposed to Military Strategy, Personnel Administration and Logistic Management at various levels. His experience is enriched by the courses he has taken locally and abroad. He served as the Commandant at the Army Service Corps School, Staff Officer Grade I at QMG branch of Army Head Quarters (AHQ) and Second in Command at 1 Regt Sri Lanka Army Service Corps to mention a few. In his corporate sector career, he has held top-level positions such as the CEO of Lanka Sathosa (one of the largest retail store networks in Sri Lanka), Head of HR & Administration (AGM) at Micro Holdings (one of the largest Automobile & Construction group of companies), Group Head of HR at Assetline Leasing (Financial Sector), Group GM at Union Group (Union Apparels & Leisure), Head of HR at John Keells Office Automation, and Manager HR & Admin at Alpha Industries ( HR, Admin, Supply Chain & Logistics). He has shown talents in the field of sports having represented the Sri Lankan team in sports shooting, the Army team in cricket (P. Sara trophy) and mercantile tournaments in cricket and badminton. He was a marksman and marksman coach in the Army and followed and obtained an above-average grade in the Officers Physical Training course in Pune, India. Fellow Corporate member and visiting lecturer at the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM) Sri Lanka and visiting lecturer and member of the Institute of Supply and Material Management (MISMM).
